Blue Lagoon Walnut board
Every once in awhile you come across a really special piece of wood that is crying for something special to be done to it! This piece of black walnut is full of voids, splits, cracks and holes and what better way to work with this is to fill it with translucent glow in the dark blue resin. This board measures 17 3/4” x 9 3/4” x 3/4” thick and like all of our boards it is completely natural and food safe protected with mineral and bees wax.
Mega size art piece
This is a really one of a kind piece. We selected a piece of olive wood full of character and contrast, then filled all the voids and crevices with a transparent off grey resin. Inset throughout the board we laid lots of spring flowers, ferns and pebbles to give a 3-D look to this stunning piece. Like all of our boards, it is treated with 3 coats of food safe mineral oil with bees wax. Set this piece on one of our wooden display stands or one of your own, up against a window and let the sunlight shine through and watch the resin diffuse the sunlight into a prism to constantly change the appearance. What a great wedding or housewarming gift this would make. Great size board measuring 24” x 12 3/4” x 3/4” thick
Olive aqua mist board
Another beautiful piece of olive wood that we displayed the live edges within an aqua blue mist resin that is transparent and also shows some of the waves within the resin as it cures. This board is a perfect size for a smaller gathering measuring 19” x 10 1/4” x 9/16”. Coated with three layers of natural food safe mineral oil and then polished with two coats of bees wax for more protection and lustre. Finger holds added beneath each end for easy handling.
Olive fall foliage and flowers board
A beautiful piece of olive wood balanced on either side with transparent resin inset with fall foliage and flowers. The olive is full of character and crevices that fill nicely with the resin. This board measures 17 3/4” x 10” and is treated with food safe oil and natural waxes.
Burnt Maple umber charcuterie board
A larger size board, measuring 24 3/4”L x 11 1/2” W x 5/8” thick. We used a piece of spalted maple with lots of character and contrast and we off set it with several bands of a translucent burnt umber translucent resin. Each of our boards is chamfered along each edge, top and bottom as well as two finger holds that are routered out on each edge along the bottom to provide easy carrying and handling. As well, all of our boards are coated with two treatments of food safe mineral oil and bees wax to give it protection and lustre.
